The new line of the tablets is called Surface, and will come in ARM and Intel processor versions with the Intel version sporting a Core i5 lvy Bridge processor.
The surface has a 16*9 inch format, a magnesium case, and USB 2.0.
It has a 10.6-inch, 1080p full HD display and has two digitization, one for touch and one for digital ink.
It also has unique multi-touch keyboard cover called the touch cover that snaps to the device like an iPad cover, but has a integrated keyboard. The touch cover includes an acceleration that can deactivate the keyboard when it is folded back.
There are two versions of the tablet- the cheaper version with an nVidia ARM processor will run Windows RT and includes Microsoft Office.
