Microsoft announces its own tablet computer at keynote in Los Angeles

The new line of the tablets is called Surface, and will come in ARM and Intel processor versions with the Intel version sporting a Core i5 lvy Bridge processor. The surface has a 16*9 inch format, a magnesium case, and USB 2.0. It has a 10.6-inch, 1080p full HD display and has two digitization, one for touch and one for digital ink. It also has unique multi-touch keyboard cover called the touch cover that snaps to the device like an iPad cover, but has a integrated keyboard. The touch cover includes an acceleration that can deactivate the keyboard when it is folded back. There are two versions of the tablet- the cheaper version with an nVidia ARM processor will run Windows RT and includes Microsoft Office.
