Apple agrees to pay $2.25m as iPad 4G claim penalty

APPLE will pay more than $2 million as pnalty after agreeing it misled the public in Australia by selling its new iPad as 4G-compatible. The Federal Court this morning heard the computer giant had agreed to settle a case brought by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission that alleged the new iPad could not access local 4G networks, despite being sold the new iPad "with WiFi +4G".
